Our MD Lea Cheesbrough has yet again been named within Insurance Business’s UK’s Elite Women list for 2023.
This list published by Insurance Business UK pays tribute to the challenges, excellence and tenacity exhibited by female leaders who are breaking through “high and strong” barriers in a still male-dominated insurance industry. The fifth edition of this list comprised 61 female leaders.
Lea co-founded the Movo Partnership in 2019 alongside Golan Lambranzi and took on the role of Managing Director.
Lea stated “Our vision was to create a new and vastly different option in the AR Network space. One that would give entrepreneurial brokers with the hunger to succeed a truly cost-effective route to running your own insurance brokerage”.
“We wanted to create a Network that allowed it members to maintain direct relationships with insurers and reward their growth by not extracting percentages from their commission. We have managed to achieve this and I am thrilled”.
Very quickly Lea established the Partnership as the fastest-growing Appointed Representative (AR) Network in the UK for Independent Insurance brokers.
Movo has still maintained its rapid growth into 2023 and now has 70 brokers within its network, with 12 joining this year already and another 13 joining later in the year. “We control £70m GWP at this moment in time” Cheesbrough says.
Lea was thrilled to be announced within this years 61 women and said “I love what I do and thank our amazing teams both men and women for the efforts they put in place to make Movo so special!
